A spiritual home of the Japanese

Naiku, officially known as Kotaijingu, was founded about 2,000 years ago. The supreme deity Amaterasu Omikami is enshrined here and worshipped as the predecessor of the Imperial Household and the guardian deity of the Japanese people.
