“Life Connected by Water”
Kyoto Aquarium is Japan’s first inland aquarium of large scale, which opened in March 2012. It reproduces connections between life and water from headstreams to ocean in ten zones. The most popular zone is an exhibition of giant salamanders, world’s biggest amphibian (a special national treasure), which is one of the largest demonstrations in Japan. In addition to displays, you can play and learn in regular hands-on programs such as workshops.
