THE TALE OF GENJI MUSEUM, UJI CITY

The setting of The Tale of Genji, a time travel to the capital of the Heian period.

In the permanent exhibition are life-size horse carts, replicas of Heian period furnishings, and a miniature replica of Rokujo-in, a vast manner. In addition, there is an introduction to "the world of the Tale of Genji," colorfully incorporating video and audio. And in the video theater is the video "Hashihime," featuring Kayoko Shiraishi.
In the museum are other special exhibits, a library room, and a museum shop.

Every half hour starting at 9:30 AM and ending at 4:30 PM. Video length: 20 minutes
