"Monju" is the bodhisattva of wisdom
It is one of the three temples in Japan dedicated to the Bodhisattva Monju. It is believed you can gain wisdom and so many students preparing for exams and their families visit here.
The temples gate that faces Chaya Street is registered as the Cultural Property of City and it is the biggest temple gate in the Tango area.
