Michi-no-Eki Maizuru Port has the biggest fish market in Kyoto prefecture, which is one of the largest seafood markets on the Sea of Japan. The fish traders of the Maizuru Fish Market, the biggest one in the Kyoto Prefecture Fishery Association, have their own shops here. The freshness, pricing and variety of the seafood are outstanding.
