The first place where the richly colored mural paintings were discovered in Japan.We can see the replica paint and the reconstruction model of the richly colored mural paintings called "Asuka Bijin"(Asuka Beauties) at Takamatsuzuka Mural Hall.
Asuka is the origin of an ancient country in Japan.
Asuka Historical National Government Park has founded by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to facilitate the protection and effective use of Asuka’s rich natural surroundings and cultural legacy.
Asuka Historical National Government Hall in Takamatsuzuka is the best place to start Asuka trip. At the Hall introducing videos and solid models inform the historic sites and history of Asuka.
Near the facility, there are Takamatsuzuka Tumulus: Special Historic Site and the Takamatsuzuka Mural Hall (admission-paid) where we can see the faithful replica of the mural painting.
