Arima Philatelic Museum
- Tourist attractions
This museum permanently exhibits standard stamps and commemorative stamps issued in the last 150 years since the postal service has been established all the way to the present. Many unique items are exhibited including the first stamp issued in Japan called “Ryumon” stamp, hand-carved stamp, which is considered to be the most important stamp in Japan, and actual work instruments used for the postal service. You would enjoy fascinating stamps and culture of the postal service including many special exhibitions held for a limited time at all times inside the museum built in “earthen walled warehouse style” with a great taste of Edo period.
